Press Brake Folding

Our new Amada HFP 1303 press brake is a cnc controlled seven axis machine with a three metre wide beam and 130 tonne down stroking capacity.

Programmes are produced off-line although the operator can make changes or write programmes using the touch screen menu system.

The graphic screen leads the operator through each fold sequence with clear identification and orientation of the component for each fold. The machine backstops have 3 different datums for part positioning. Equipped with the machine is a new suite of punch and die tooling including goose neck punches, 88 and 33 deg single vee dies, rolla V dies, and punch extension clamps. The machine was specified to complement our ability to laser and water jet cut 3 metre long components with a 3 metre long folding bed and with 130 tonne capacity we can fold thick materials as well as thinner sheet metal gauges. The machine has exceptional angular control from very thin (<1mm) to very thick (>8mm) with single vee dies from 6mm to 125mm.
